We are a group of professionals, community workers, members of the public and residents of
Slough Borough. We have come together to promote Islam as a religion of peace. The word Islam literally means “peace and surrender to the will of Allah the Creator”.
Our organisation's name is MASJID ILYAS and is a registered with the Charity Commission of the United Kingdom with registration number 1193341.
Our efforts of promoting Islam and serving the community will primarily be focused on Slough and surrounding areas.

Slough is a large town in Berkshire County, England. Slough is a multi-cultural society. The culturally rich population of Slough is one of the most ethnically diverse in the United Kingdom, attracting people from across the country and the world. The majority of Muslim ethnic communities are concentrated in and around Slough, Upton, Langley, Datchet, and Windsor areas. Muslims have migrated from the Middle East, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Somalia, and most parts of the world to this place. AS per the figures from the census of 2011, 24% population of Slough are Muslim
